We had issue of our HDPE yarns break and discharges static electricity during the knit process. This leads to rejection of knitted fabric at around 15%. We tried different options but could not attain an optimum result. At this stage, Annamalai Lubes along with BPCL R&D team developed an exclusive lubricant for us. The new product has improved the tensile strength of the yarn, eliminated static electricity and our rejection is less than 1% now. We were using a MNC hydraulic and machine cutting product for several years. We had severe issues on our coolant, we faced foul smell, sump life of 3-5 weeks, most of operator complaining of eye irritation and skin allergies regularly. When we moved to MAK Sherol from Annamalai Lubes, sump life improved to 2 months, but other problems persisted. We were using OEM recommended MNC brand grease for almost 3 years and we were not ready to compromise on lubricant product as lubricant failures resulted in major loss for us in the past.
